10. Improve Strength and Flexibility.
Yes yoga is great for the mind and body and while there are many aspects of yoga that helps to improve focus and mental clarity, it is a great method for working your muscles. The strength and flexibility you get from a typical yoga class differs slightly from just traditional strength and flexibility training. Regular yoga practice works on movements and poses designed specifically to stretch and strengthen (or lengthen) the muscles, which produces long and lean muscles. If you are in need of some strength and flexibility training, consider practicing yoga at least three times per week and if you are an endurance athlete, consider practicing more times throughout the week.
