7. Excessive Bleeding.

By this time in your life, you more than likely are pretty accurate and in tune with your menstrual cycle, including the amount of bleeding you typically have and for how long it lasts. However, if you notice that you are having excessive bleeding that lasts at least eight days in duration then this could be an indicator that you have fibroids developing. In addition, you will want to watch out if you are having excessive flow as well. While it is not necessarily an easy task to determine the amount of flow you normally have, just use the rule of thumb that if you use more sanitary products than normal, then you should consider this a warning sign to check things out with your doctor.
