12) Nutritional Imbalances
Symptoms: Although not common, there are reports of certain nutritional deficiencies affecting eye health and causing eye twitching.
Possible Causes: Vitamins A, C, E, Omega 3, Carotenoids (especially lutein and zeaxanthin) and magnesium are all important for eye health. Deficiencies of any of these nutrients can lead to eye problems and eye twitching.
Solutions: Ensuring a healthy diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and avoiding processed and fast foods will go a long way to ensuring adequate nutrient intake. An organic, whole food derived multivitamin/mineral supplement and a carotenoid complex will help improve eye health.
