Symptoms: Entropion is a condition where the eyelid turns inwards. The results are that the eyelashes and the outer eyelid skin, which is harder and dryer, scrape the surface of the eye. The resultant irritation can cause eye twitching.
Possible Causes: The most common cause seems to be muscle weakness from aging. Eye infections, inflammation and rarely, genetics, can also lead to the condition.
Solutions: Treating and clearing up any infections and inflammation will solve the problem. If it’s caused by muscle weakness or genetics, surgery may be necessary. Consult your medical practitioner for proper diagnosis and treatment.
