Symptoms: Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelid where the eyelashes grow and can cause eye twitching.
Possible Causes: Blepharitis is caused when the tiny oil glands in the base of eyelid get clogged, leading to swelling and irritation of the lids and eyes. It can be the result of a bacterial infection, allergies or failure to remove eye makeup. Rarely, eyelash mites or lice can be the cause.
Solutions: Avoid applying makeup while the condition persists. Ensure that eye makeup is thoroughly removed at the end of the day. Carefully clean the tips of the eyelids with a soft cloth and baby shampoo in warm water. Consult your medical professional.
