15. Blood Disorders
Why It Happens: Blood disorders that prevent the blood from clotting, like haemophilia, von Willebrand disease and Osler-Weber-Rendu disease may lead to nosebleeds.
Additional Info: Other blood diseases that may cause nosebleeds include leukaemia, problems with blood platelets like I.T.P. and deficiencies of Factor II, V and VII.
What To Do: If you notice that you’re having unexplained nosebleeds, bruise easily and bleed excessively when you get a minor scrape or cut, it would be advisable to consult your medical professional for testing and diagnosis.
