3. Dry Air

Why It Happens: Hot and dry conditions dry the membranes of the nose, making them more susceptible to cracking and bleeding.
Additional Info: Prolonged exposure to air-conditioned air can also dry the membranes lining the nostrils and cause nosebleeds.
What To Do: If you are going to be exposed to hot, dry conditions, or an air- conditioned environment for any extended time, use a moisturising cream, like petroleum jelly, to prevent the nose membranes from drying out. Alternatively, use a moisturising nasal spray. Using a humidifier to moisten the air will also help.
